ERGONOMICS EVALUATIONS & PLANNING

“Ergonomics” is derived from the Greek words “ergon,” meaning work and “nomoi,” meaning natural laws. At Flex, we help people and companies create ergonomic workspaces and habits that help match human capabilities to work demands, naturally.

An ergonomic work space helps prevent on-the-job injuries associated with repetitive motion, awkward posture and other factors which place workers at high risk for injury or pain.

Healthier employees are more productive

We help employers identify high-risk jobs and provide recommendations to reduce hazards in the workplace. Eliminating on-the-job pain for the worker makes for more productive employees and saves companies money on sick time and L&I claims.

Ergonomic Evaluations and Planning
The Flex Ergonomic Evaluation can help office workers who develop pain from long hours of computer and phone work, grocery checkers, landscapers, factory workers, nurses, construction workers, dental hygienists—virtually any job that involves repetitive motion.

We can analyze a single workstation or an entire office. Your Flex Ergonomics Plan may include work site modification, posture correction, task changes, stretching exercises as well as education in proper body mechanics and resources for helping achieve a healthy workspace.

New laws require a safer workplace

Preventable work-related disorders such as tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and low back disorders account for 32% of all workers’ comp claims and 46% of all claim costs.

In Washington State, employers with “caution zone” jobs are required by law to take steps to reduce these hazards.
